One installer, then launch. macOS asks for camera permission the first time — Pop Magics can’t show you anything until you allow it. Your video is processed on your machine.
Point at a surface, drop a Spot, put something on it. This is the moment it clicks — and it’s the first thing the app walks you into, before any settings.

all have the same picker. That’s the whole setup.
macOS will ask for camera permission — if you decline it, the preview stays black and nothing works. And no app can switch the camera inside Zoom for you; you pick Pop Magics in Zoom’s own camera menu once, and it remembers. If either one bites you, the fix is here.
